Membership Resources

As you can see the name of this column has changed with the change in times.  It’s been busy this winter.  We have had full employment for our members and also work for our traveling brothers and sisters.  Thanks to all the travelers, Wireman and Linemen, who have helped us man the work.

In Rock Springs, Ray Smallwood will need some help this spring with cleanup on a portion of the Interstate between Rock Springs and Green River.  We do not have a time yet for the cleanup, but will keep everyone posted.

In Jackson, we have been having information meetings as the membership is growing and wanting to be more active.  There has been a committee started to work on a picnic and barbeque in Jackson this summer.  Should be a good time with everyone invited.

In Sheridan things are busy.  They are planning for their summer picnic.  There is also some interest from contractors in the Sheridan area about becoming signatory.  That would be great.

In the Big Horn Basin there have been some jobs picked up with more members becoming active.

In Casper things are busy also.  The Activities Committee is planning another food drive and planning for the summer picnic.  We had a barbeque at the hall for the travelers and local members and had a good time discussing different issues from all over the country.  We will hopefully do it again.  The crews working at Midwest, Wyoming attended a Code of Excellence Class with the hall providing dinner afterward.

In the Rawlins area there continues to be a lot of work in the oil and gas industry as well as the coal bed methane with other work as well.

In the Riverton-Lander area, there is the hospital addition in Lander and the Casino south of Riverton.

Congratulations to Kyra Andrews, Terrie Beard, James Allen and Greg Lassle for passing the Local’s Journeyman Wireman test.
